### Economic-Energetic Analysis of Aeroponic System in the Production of Potato Mini-Tubers in Ardabil

#### Abstract

**Abstract. **In Iran, potato is the third product in terms of nutrition importance after wheat and rice. Due to the fact that in many crops, particularly potato, virus diseases have considerable role in reduced yield and product quality, this study conducted to analyze the economic-energetic parameters of aeroponic cultivation and conventional systems in the production of mini-tubers potato in Mohandes Ardabili greenhouse complex at Ardabil in 2014. In this study, indicators of total revenue (TR), net profit (π), total variable costs (TVC), total fixed costs (TFC), net present value (NPV) and energy cost (EC) were estimated, and indicators and options were ranked using topsis classic model based on the year/period/tuber basis. It can be concluded that the cost of the initial investment for the construction of a sterile room in aeroponic cultivation system in terms of year, period, and tuber is 4,427,183, 1,106,794 and 5.12 IRR. The total variable costs (chemicals required) in the medium (MS) in aeroponic cultivation system in terms of year, period, and tuber is 2,419,200, 604.800, and 2.8 IRR. The initial investment cost of culture room in aeroponic cultivation system in terms of year, period, and tuber is 3,594,173, 898.543, and 4.15 IRR, and the initial investment cost of growth room in aeroponic cultivation system in terms of year, period, and tuber is 42,902,908, 10,725,727 and 49.65, respectively. The total cost of construction of greenhouses in conventional systems for each 120 square meters is equivalent to 1,246,257,937 IRR, and per square meter and per tuber is equivalent to 10,385,482 IRR and 48.1 IRR respectively. The total variable cost of construction of greenhouses for each 120 square meters is equivalent to 373,837,258 IRR, and per square meter and per tuber is 3,115,310 and 14.42 IRR, respectively. The total fixed cost (year / period / tuber) of sterile room in aeroponic cultivation system is 2,999,428, 749,862 and 4.16 IRR, the total fixed cost (year / period / tuber) of laboratory in aeroponic cultivation system is 1,639,019, 409,760 and 2.52 IRR, the total fixed cost (year / period / tuber) of culture room in aeroponic cultivation system is 2,435,063, 608,771 and 3.49 IRR, the total fixed cost (year / period / tuber) of growth room in aeroponic cultivation system is 29,066,739, 7,266,693 and 34.72 IRR, and the total fixed cost (year / period / tuber) for construction of greenhouse in aeroponic cultivation system is 844,339,812, 7,036,178, and 39.47 IRR respectively. The estimated total revenue in aeroponic cultivation system per year is 1,296,000,000 IRR, per period is 324,000,000 IRR, and per tuber is 6,000 IRR. The estimated net profit in aeroponic cultivation system (year / period / node) is 5.117.565.480, 4.020.118, and 41.951 IRR, the total estimated energy costs in aeroponic cultivation system is 297.253 IRR per year, 79.545 per period, and 0.347 IRR per tuber.
