Determine the Correlation between Compressive Strength and Modulus of Elasticity in SCC

Abstract


Abstract. This research was studied the relationship between the compressive strength and modulus of elasticity self-compacting concrete (SCC) which the relationship was provided from ABA (Iran Concrete Regulations). For this purpose 24 mixes was obtained as change in the amount of cement, water-cement ratio, micro-silica and the lubricant producer, and the compression strength was tested of each mixes. In the time-testing, further pressure recording, the deformation was tested by installed gauge for each pressure recording. Then, the correlation was determined due to the necessary calculations for convert the result of cubic samples to the standard cylindrical samples (Ec=5260√fc). The obtained formula was validated while the weight ratio of sand to gravel was 0.35 and 0.65, weight ratio of the lubricant to the cement (grade 300 to 400 kilograms per cubic meter) was 0.3 - 1.5%, ratio of water to cement was 0.35 to 0.45 and the micro-silica was 8 % of cement weight. This correlation was not recommended and need to be further investigated for out of aforementioned ranges.
