A Review on hematology and hemoglobin of fish

Abstract


By moving some chemicals in body to different directions, it is possible to nourishan organism, to storage energy in the body and to throw digested foods out. All these operations can be provided with blood vessels that compose blood path. Hematology is a science which analyse blood and the disorders in blood. Hematological analysis are important in determining the health of fish, destruction of hemoglobin, decrease in erythrocytes and hematocrit amount can be considered as the indicator of anemia. Erythrocyte sedimentation quantity gives information about the existence of the disease. Total leukocyte count and type are used in the diagnosis of disease. Blood cells in fish in this review, erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelets are mentioned. Also in recent years, the use of ingredients in feed feeds has been spread in order to increase the production. In this review, it was touched on the effects of medicinal plants and herb extracts which were used as additive in fish feeds on hematological parameters of fish
